Spiral Pipe Machine
Spiral welded pipe machine is use to coil open and leveling the steel coil through the machine, and then feed it into forming machine at some angles, using the principle of three-roll bend forming machine, supplemented by some angels, the continuous round pipe is formed.
Spiral Weld Pipe Mill
Spiral weld pipe mill is a production line used to manufacture steel pipes by forming a continuous strip of steel into a helical spiral and welding the seam.
The key components are:
Uncoiler: Holds and feeds the large coil of steel strip into the line.
Leveling & Edge Miller: Flattens the steel strip and trims its edges to a precise width for a consistent weld.
Forming Station: The core of the mill. Here, rollers gradually bend the flat strip into a continuous spiral shape with a specific diameter and pitch (angle).
Internal & External Welding Stations: Automated welding systems (typically submerged arc welding - SAW) simultaneously weld the inside and outside of the continuous spiral seam to ensure strength and integrity.
Ultrasonic Testing (UST) Station: Non-destructive testing equipment that immediately inspects the weld for any defects.
Cutting Unit: An automatic flying cut-off saw that cuts the continuously formed pipe into specified lengths without stopping the production process.
Hydrostatic Tester: Pressurizes each finished pipe section with water to verify it can hold its required pressure rating.
Stacking & Handling machine: Conveyors and arms for collecting and bundling the finished pipes.

And the continuous spiral welding seam is welded by submerged arc welding machine. When the steel coil is uncoiling, leveling and cutting butt welding, the spiral pipe welded machine should stop and wait. After steel coil’s butt welding is completed, the spiral pipe welded mill is started for production. The submerged arc welded pipe machine adopts the discontinuous production model, which has the advantage of less investment and simple operation. The products meet the standard of API-5L and GB9711.
1. API standard model, international standard model. API standard pipes are mainly used for oil and gas (Long distance) transmission pipes, the material and quality of steel pipe is very high, the pipe machine and inspection machine are also with high requirements;
2. National standard model, be mainly used for short distance natural gas transportation and water pipes, urban pipe network construction;
3. Structural pipe, column pipe, etc. The material and quality requirements for steel are also high, second only to API standards.
